An
important sign was left by Ettore Caser (an uncle of Annas
father), a painter formed during the Liberty period, pupil
of Ettore Tito and De Maria at the Academy of Belle Arti in
Venice, who after having achieved a succesful career (XIII
Biennale in Venice, Brera and Albertina art galleries in Milan)
emigrated to the USA in 1909: New York at first and Boston
afterwards, coming back to Italy as voluntary at the outbreak
of the first World War. In 1920 he returned to New York. Convinced
antifascist he never set foot in Italy again.
A myth for Anna. She filled her house with his paintings,
after the auction sale that followed his death.
